Gaile Owens

Tonight I saw it on the news. They have set an execution date for Gaile Owens.

September 28, 2010

Tonight I went to her son Stephen's blog and saw this posted.

Philippians 4:6

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."

Please fall to your knees and pray. Blessed be His name. Speak it. Believe it. Be faithful.

What an amazing young man that Gaile is so proud of. God has blessed her. Join with us in prayer please.

As I told Gaile - either way, God will use her life. There are many other volunteers who are much closer with Gaile than me. They have spent week after week with her for many years. I am praying for them tonight and for her precious, godly son. Pray for Gaile that God's peace will strengthen her in this difficult time.

I saw the news, too! I will be praying, pleading really.

Something I remember Beth saying in the Esther study -- and it was a hard thing to say and hear to be honest -- was this:

"If God calls us to a death that demands courage, it must somehow be part of our destiny."

Whatever happens, Gaile has a wonderful destiny and legacy in which she can be proud.

Keep us posted!

Love you,
Dori

Thank you for sharing about Gaile with us, otherwise, I would not have likely written an e-mail to Gov. Bredesen(funny, the media says her outcome is in his, not His hands:)or to bow my head in prayer with deep concern for her when "I just happened to hear someone on the radio yesterday mention her," or follow her son's blog which just coincidentally illuminated my screen this week with Phil. 4:6 which just happens to be my "life verse" I first learned in my teen years while teaching VBS in Appalachia with Barb! I pray for Gaile, her family, her friends, her future; that God's hand will move in a mighty way and His peace will prevail in Gaile's heart now and in the days to follow.
